Step 1: Choose Your Credential Level

  • Select the IMCC credential level that aligns with your mentoring experience, training background, and professional goals.
  • IMCC offers three levels: Associate, Executive, and Mentor-in-Chief, each with defined eligibility criteria.
  • If trained through an IMCC-accredited partner, you may apply directly for the relevant level.
  • If trained through another institution, you will first complete a short IMCC Credentialing Assessment to confirm competency alignment.

Step 2: Upload Level Certification

  • Upload your relevant level certificate or training completion document.
  • This enables IMCC to verify your training background and eligibility.
  • All documents are reviewed only for correct placement within the appropriate credential pathway.

Step 3: Register for Credentialing Assessment

  • Complete the assessment registration form after selecting your credential level.
  • This formally enrolls you into the IMCC credentialing process.
  • Provide basic professional details to ensure accurate and efficient evaluation.

Step 4: Receive Assessment Link

  • Receive a personalised assessment link via email within 48 hours of registration.
  • The email will include assessment instructions, format details, timelines, and preparation guidance.

Step 5: Get Credentialised

  • Complete the assessment as per IMCC’s competency framework.
  • Successful candidates are formally credentialed under IMCC.
  • Receive official credential confirmation along with details on validity, renewal, and progression to higher levels.

Step 6: Ongoing Growth & Renewal

Your credential remains valid for a Three years, after which renewal ensures your knowledge, ethics, and mentoring practice stay current.

The renewal process includes Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hour submission, ethics recommitment, and reflective learning review – all accessible through your Mentor Dashboard.

IMCC will notify you well in advance of renewal windows to ensure a smooth continuation of your credential status.
